I see you.
But you don't see me.
I'm right in front of you beckoning for you to hold my hand.
But you look right through me.

It hurts.
That I'm not the centre of your world.
I used to be.

But it seems other things, things you consider more pleasurable more than I, has taken your eyes off of me.

I'm beautiful.
Aren't I?
I'm alluring, beautiful too.
But it seems I'm just not enough.

I see you.
But why won't you look my way.
I love you.

My heart aches and it hurts.
It hurts so bad.

Tell me, tell me what's wrong.

Is it your demons?
Are you still fighting?

Stop fighting please!
Just look at me.
Please...

That addiction, that vice...
It snakes around you like a boa constrictor.
Nothing good can ever come from it.

It breaks your feeble bones and turn them to ash.

And that can only mean one thing—death.

I scream to catch your attention.
It's hard.
It's like I'm screaming through a soundproof wall.

For a second, I see you look my way.
And my heart skips several beats.
I'm hopeful.

I say to myself, "He's finally come to his senses." And smile.

But then just as you take the first step, eyes still on me...
...you turn right back.

My heart bleeds.
Literally, I've bled for you.

All I want is your attention.
Let me be the only thing you see.
Let everything else fade into the background.
Into nothingness, where they belong.

You are the Rose of Sharon, the Lilly of the Valley.
But as beautiful as a rose is, it still has torns.

I see you drowning.
I see you in quicksand...sinking fast.

And the most heartbreaking of all,
Is that you don't even know,
Until it's too late.
And scorching and wailings become the only tune you'll forever be able to dance to.

I see you.
I know you're broken.
But I don't want you to stay broken.

I am your balm.
I am the glue that sticks all the broken fragments of you back together, that makes you whole.

But I think you know this already.

You know the power I have over you.
Is that why you're so afraid?
To look at me?
Because you know you'll come undone.

You take solace in your polluted mind.
You convince yourself that that's where you belong.

But it's not.
You belong with me.

Because I love you and I care for you.

Nobody will ever love you like I do.
You're lost and you feel lonely once you come down from the high your vices give you.

You feel dead and empty inside.
Desperately looking for something to fill that gaping hole inside of you.

But it breaks my heart.
That you've yet to realise,
I am that missing piece.

I love you.
And all I want is for you to love me back.
Let me be that piece that completes you.
That gives you lasting joy.
That comforts you.
And will never leave.

I see your struggles, regret, pain, failures, hardship...
But I am soft, kind, gentle and loving.
And I will never hurt you, like they did.
