Creativity
In three words, 'creativity is you'.
As simple as it is, it's true.
You are you, and I am me.
Just as the sky and the earth never mingle or mix, that is how different I am from the next person, even if I were a twin.
We all have that something, that spark, that something special within that just maybe needs a little bit of sunshine to make it blossom.
And as we are different individually, so is how different the outcome will be.
I think creativity comes alive when you take a pause, when you have a moment of clarity, an eye opening encounter.
It could be just a tiny explosion within, but that tiny spark is enough to give birth to a knee-weakening, breathtaking masterpiece which will forever be a part of you.
The thing is, you can be creative without even realising it.
Creativity can be as random as random gets, but through deep thinking I've come to realise, that creativity comes from achieving 'perfection' from something that has been otherwise termed as 'flawed', 'not enough', 'worthless', 'dead'...
I believe in our own little way, we all are masters of creativity. This depends, anyway, on what your understanding of 'creativity' is.
Whether you perform an extraordinary feat no one has ever achieved or you perfect an already existing idea due to some inside revelation,
Creativity is creativity.
Whether you discover how to alter the genetic make-up of a palm tree to let it start producing in less than a year or you figure out how to use 'eba' to keep your posters from falling off the wall instead of old-fashioned glue,
Creativity is creativity.
As a quote from 1978's superman movies delivered by Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor says,
"Some people can read War and Peace and come away thinking it's a simple adventure story. Others can read the ingredients on a chewing gum wrapper and unlock the secrets of the universe."
Creativity lies in all of us, it's how it's expressed that makes the whole difference.
Creativity...is you.
